How long do hub motor last

The motor is one of the most durable components in electric vehicles, and the service life of a regular hub motor is 6-10 years! If the hub motor is cooled by liquid cooling, its service life can reach more than 10 years! If regular maintenance is carried out on the central motor, its service life can reach 15-20 years!

Motor maintenance should pay attention to the following points:

1. If the demagnetization of the magnetic steel is caused by the heating of the brake driven motor, it will cause weaknesses in the car and shorten the mileage;

2. Timely repair of motor noise and inspection of bearings to prevent bearing steel particles from rolling up and out, resulting in motor scrapping;

3. Try not to ride in places with water as much as possible. The motor is not as well sealed as we imagine, and it is difficult to come out due to water ingress. Magnetic steel that cannot come out for a long time rusts, and bearings are prone to corrosion, causing heating of the electric and motor and reducing mileage.
